AFTER THE STORM THERE IS MORE RAIN is a painting from the ‘AFTER THE STORM SERIES’ otherwise known as the lockdown paintings. During lockdown, there were some very dark moments, both in my life and in the world, and I would wake up each morning with what felt like an elephant on my chest – the world seemed darker, scarier, and full of uncertainty. One day I decided to turn off all the news and socials and instead of home-schooling, I was going to take an hour for myself to paint. And the AFTER THE STORM SERIES was created. Sometimes at the after the storm, there is more rain, but then the rainbows come again.
