AFTER THE STORM COMES THE MOON is a painting from the ‘AFTER THE STORM SERIES’ other wise known as the lock down paintings. During lockdown there were some very dark moments, both in my life and in the world, and I would wake up each morning with what felt like an elephant on my chest. With each news report, each facebook post, each conversation in the supermarket at an accepted socially distant measurement,  the world seem darker, scarier, and full of uncertainty. One day I decided to turn off all the news and socials and instead of jumping into home schooling I was going to take an hour to paint. And the AFTER THE STORM SERIES was created.

Sometimes at the after the storm, the moon comes out – bright, golden and shining a beacon of hope to the earth.
