The Dream Weaver began as a birthday gift. A gift I treated myself with on my actual birthday.
It was a whole day spent playing, dreaming and allowing my creative muse to take over and paint whatever flowed onto the canvas.
And I knew by the end of my birthday that there was a little bit of my soul magic on the canvas.
And instead of picking up my to-do list the next day (and for the next week), I kept returning to the Dream Weaver.
I kept listening to the create muse and to my heart until they said stop.
And so I stopped, and I left her on my easel, until like my petulant teenage self, she began to speak to me again. And she told me ‘dark stars and splashes of gold’.
So I listened.
During that intense first week of creating her, I had begun to call her the Spell Caster, as it felt like she had cast a spell on the studio, however, when she finally began to speak to me again, she told me her name was Dream Weaver.
And I realised that into the very fabric of her canvas, I had literally woven in my dreams. The stars, with their dark shimmery glitter, and the golden dandelion sparks represent the dreams I’ve whispered into the dark night.
Some of those dreams are still hiding in the depth of the painting, whilst others are working their way into the bright, into the light and ready to be seen by the world.
Dream Weaver was a wish cast and a birthday dream, and in return an abundance of joy was received.
