As a child of the 80’s and a child of rural NSW in the 80’s the Australian Classic TV show Play School and their useful box has greatly inspired me for years.
For anyone unfamiliar with Play School the useful box was a magical box full of items like cereal boxes, egg cartons, plastic lids, and other things that you could collect at home and repurpose in art or craft projects. It was simple and attainable and everyone could join in.
So with this as one of my major childhood influences it is no wonder I love making dioramas and seasonal displays using items from my own useful box (which in reality is a useful room ☺️ )
And with Easter fast approaching I decided to make an Easter Display for my front entrance. I love how it turned out – its small enough that it wont dominate our entrance but big enough to catch your eye as you walk in!
And I made a quick video sharing how I made it and what materials I used! Have a quick squiz!
It took me about two hours to put them all together, and while I used materials I had in the home you could use anything you like to make your own.
Do you make little Easter displays for your home? How do you invite whimsy into Easter.
Happy Easter holidays!
