The 52 DAYS Project (June REVEAL)

THE 52 DAY PROJECT

JUNE REVEAL

It’s been quite a while since my last reveal – Covid-19, lock down, homeschooling, they really took a toll on my creative mojo. But now that restrictions are easing and the terrible trio are back in school full time I am moving into a creative high period!

Which means I have a few paintings from the 52 DAYS project to reveal today!

VULNERABLE

VULNERABLE

vuhl-ner-uh-buhl ]
adjective

1. capable of or susceptible to being wounded or
hurt, as by a weapon.

Although it scares me witless, I believe that my greatest strength comes from opening myself up and being vulnerable with others.

My vulnerability can often be as simple as admitting that I was wrong about something, it can be when I apologise for something that I did that hurt another person even and especially when I didn’t think that is was hurtful.

The most vulnerable I feel is when I share the deep dark parts – the hidden secrets I held dear, the shame I have felt about something that happened or something I did, the fear that holds me back.

And when I share these I am naked. My heart is naked with no shield. There is no where to hide and I am hanging out there all alone. Until someone else is vulnerable and puts their hand up saying me too.

Then I am no longer vulnerable. I am strong and I am open and I am free.

MOONLIGHT

MOONLIGHT

[ moon-lahyt ]
   noun

1.the light of the moon.

   adjective

1.pertaining to moonlight.
2.illuminated by moonlight.
3.occurring by moonlight, or at night.

“She was like the moon – a part of her was always hidden.”

This is one of my all time favourite quotes. It speaks to my hidden nature, the darker side that is hidden.

And I think all of us have a hidden side; A side that the moonlight rarely touches.  But I wonder what would happen if that side was exposed to the moonlight? What would it reveal? What would your shadow self say to you when the light shone upon it?

RAVEN

RAVEN

[ rey-vuh n ]
   noun

1. any of several large, corvine birds having lustrous, black plumage and a
loud, harsh call, especially Corvus
corax, of the New and Old Worlds.

To many people Ravens are creepy, unsettling birds after all a flock of Ravens is called an ‘unkindness’ or a ‘conspiracy’. But I adore them.

I don’t often see Ravens where we live. We have huge amounts of magpies and crows but very few Ravens, so when I see one I believe that the universe is giving me a gentle nudge to wake up and pay attention.

Wake up there is magic all around you. You have the power and the time is now.

The time is now, Raven Queen. Take your power and go and achieve all you can imagine.

Did any of these words spark something in you today?
