I have totally been putting this painting off.
I started it last October, and for the next four months, every week I would put ‘Finish Draco’ on my to do list!
Seriously every week. So I didn’t want to keep disappointing some of my HUGE HP fans who have been asking me if I have done any more and I was sick and tired of writing down ‘finish draco’ every week. So last week I dedicated a whole day to finishing off this painting. And surprisingly he wanted to be painted to because this was the first HP fan art painting session that I haven’t struggled with the entire paint!
I also remembered to film my painting session – so I have the time-lapse video to share with you too.
I love how Draco turned out – I think he may be one of my favourite paintings so far!
But I have really mixed feelings about his character! What do you think about Draco? Do you hate the bully he was or do you empathise with the situation he may have been in? Like I said I am mixed – I swing between thinking he was a child in an awful position, with unbearably horrible parents, however straight up he was himself an awful person who said terribly hurtful things and was straight up a bully – and really is there ever an excuse for being a bully?
Anyway – Draco is now available as the original and as prints to purchase to add to your LilliBean Designs Harry Potter fan art collection. And if you are interested in having this painting as a pair of earrings, necklaces, key rings or rings, please email me!
