There is a part of me every year that dreads June and July, because I know in the ‘Market’ world, this is when I have to start planning for Christmas.
You should know something about me. Although I love Christmas, I am not a “all year round Christmas” gal. I hate seeing the Christmas trees up in my local Target before we have even hit Halloween. And I am not organised enough to buy presents all year round, although I would love to be that person, I hit the December 1st and start to panic.
So planning for Christmas in July is totally foreign for me. Planning what I want to create for Christmas is even worse when you are a master procrastinator. But I know from past experience, I need the designs and plans done now in the quiet of winter – hello ordering calendars for the current year and NOT the next one!!
Anyway I figured if I am mired in the depths of Christmas I may as well spread the good cheer and share with you some of the cool ideas (well I think they’re cool!) that will be coming from LilliBean at the end of the year.
This is the master plan! My theme this year is to “Invite some whimsy into Christmas”
I am going to have a collection of wee beasties that are festively dressed, there will be a larger range of LilliBean Xmas jewellery and maybe a LilliBean advent mystery box or two.
I would love to revamp my 12 days of Christmas series from three or four years ago and all going well there will be a few freebies and fun things to do to invite whimsy into your Christmas season.
And I wanted to do some new cards this year and have gone with an Australiana theme totally inspired by nature that I walk through everyday with my whimsical twists. ✔️✔️ This is the sneak peak below, but you can see the full size paintings on my social feeds starting this Friday 2nd August!
Prints, cards and tags of these paintings are coming very, very soon!
There will be my hand painted decorations, the very cute mantle decorations, and probably a last minute idea or two!
In to coming months I will have all these at the markets I attend but I will also be working at making it easier for you to find these in my store so that you too can Invite some Whimsy into your Christmas!
Let me know what you love (or don’t) about Christmas and whether you’ll invite some whimsy into yours this year!
