THE POTS

A few years ago now, I was in Kmart looking for some teacher gifts for the girls teachers and I found these super cute terracotta pots.

No taller than 6 or 7 centimetres, I thought the girls could decorate them and pop in a plant for their teachers.

But as always the end of school also coincides with dance concerts, Christmassy events, and a gruelling market schedule fo me.

So for a very long time now, these pots have sat stacked on my bench forgotten and used only to gather dustballs.

Looking at them with my HALF-DONE brain on, I thought it would be super cool to paint them ‘LilliBean’ Style and if they appealed to some one they could buy it, or if not, I would have them around my house just for a little bit of whimsy and fun…

I really love how these turned out!

I had these with me at River and Wren and they looked so cute in amongst my things, that I think I will have to include a bit of greenery on every stall now!!

If you would like to purchase your own LilliBean Pot of Whimsy pop over to the shop.

The half-done project I have chosen for next month may include an impulsive purchase and dreams of creating in the spring sunshine… that three years later still sits hidden away, untouched and half finished…
